July 30th, Monday F.3 1. The final election of the C.B.A. in Vancouver was held on July 28th. V\y ^o !T was elected as the president. (This announcement was posted out on July 29th.) 2. Ambassador Yeung announced on July 21st that the Chinese government had resumed power. uffe, ^§-\ fc^e rebel had taken refuge. Consequently, there was no need to raise war funds and he hoped that the Chinese Community might disregard his plea to raise funds on July 5th (July llth, P.3). 3. News from Edmonton: There was an unorganized association set up in Edmonton by a few Chinese to raise war funds for personal use. They had even set up an anniversary party on July 20th. 4. The "j£ |?Xj School in Vancouver announced on July 27th that the School needed money for its maintenance and each student was requested to pay $1.50 School Fee for each month to keep the school going. The next school term would start on August 1st. School Hours: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 P.m. and then 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.. This school hour would be changed to fit that of the English Schools.
