However, their policy was made known to the Chinese community which became restless. As a result in the meeting on July 24th, ^ K jr and \A\- kad to h^re bodyguards to protect themselves. Consequently, they had to qualify v^, i~^ %_ as executive for the final election on July 28th. 2. Many brick factories were re-opened for business. However, those Chinese workers who returned to work were being threatened by the on-strike white workers.
