July 24th, Tuesday P.2-3 1. The president <$ ^ fj^_ and the secretary ^_ ^ ^ of the C.B.A. were trying to spoil the election by excluding one of the newly elected executives ( -//^ $$£ ^L ) because he did not pay the foundation fee or the hospital fund. ^ ^(_k ®v immediately sent a letter on July 24th to criticize *-§* and (?CF for 0 * 4x_ their irrationality. 2. Over of the factory* in Vancouver, New Westminster and various places closed down due to the strike. The management refused to reduce the working hour for the workers and decided to replace the Chinese workers with female whites. t>trso(wxJL (This demonstration against the management was the first co-operation between Chinese and White workers (July 18th P.3).
