July 17th, Tues. P.2 1. ^ /C lf^_ of the C.B.A. announced on June 22nd that the Chinese Public School in Vancouver was a success and due to the increase in the number of students, the 4th floor of the building would also be given to the school as a classroom. Like the 2nd floor of the building, the 4th floor would be exempt from rent payment. 2. In New Westminster, a few Chinese stores were accused of doing business on Saturday afternoon. Policemen went to various Chinese stores to buy things on Saturday. Those who sold things to them got arrested for violating .the business time rule. Some were fined more than $20.
