July 6th, Friday P. 3 1. Since there was the news from China that ^^ x^) would like to revive monarchism, the Chinese in Victoria became very restless and angry. There was a r^Y ^77- |Jj in Victoria trying to gather the Chinese for a speech night in Fisguard Street on July 4th. The speech would be an open participation for all Chinese to talk about contemporary situations in China. Before the speech night there were posters and billboards for propaganda. There were quite a lot of participants at the meeting. However, when the speech had started, police came to call off the meeting.
