July 4th, Wednesday P. 3 1. Ambassador Yeung announced on June 28th that the employment rate in Canada had increased and Chinese immigrants should return for better job opportunities. Ambassador Yeung had also made an agreement with the Canadian government to reserve 300 seats (each shipment) for Chinese coming back to Canada through the C.P.R. steamship. (Ambassador Yeung also said that someone had suggested that the government cancel the 6 mos. relaxation period and to recall all Chinese immigrant workers.
