Description
June 5th, Tuesday, P. 2 1. Ambassador Yeung held a meeting on June 4th in Vancouver Hotel for both anti- and pro- Ambassador Lira's parties. Ambassador Yeung criticized 1? ^5 §^ for sending a protest to the Chinese government in December 1916 under the name of the C.B.A. P. 3 2. 3. There was evidence sent by various Chinese to show that Lim was efficient and helpful. There was a banquet held by the pro-Ambassador Lim party for Ambassador Yeung. Speeches were made and Yeung hoped that any conflicts between parties might be solved. Lim then announced he would resign soon. The Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Victoria sent a letter to Ambassador Lim affirming that the association did not send any letter of protest against the Ambassador.
