March 16th, Friday P.3 1. There was a suggestion by the B.C. fruit produce association to relax the restrictive immigration law and allow free entry of farmers into Canada for a limited time. However, when they brought forth the issue in the agricultural and commercial association, the proposal was being ruled out. P.7 2. The Chinese United Association of Commerce in China announced that the local authority should protect the returning Overseas Chinese. President Lai thus gave the order that all Overseas Chinese who returned to China would be protected.
