- Description
- February 17th, Saturday P 2-3 LL 1. ^j ^ l_J 9« (who was also an executive) accused (the President) of making up and announcing false minutes from the 22nd meeting. ^&T added that the copy of the telegram did not have the signature of /*§ ~/£ ^k_ and the C.B.A.'s stamp. Moreover, there was evidence that the date on the telegram was being changed. P.3 2. /c|j 7£ ^£ sent an announcement to accuse* as a sly person who was worthless. 3. The Labour and Commerce association was against the proposal of the fruit produce association to relax the law that controlled the entrance of East Asian workers (Feb. 15 P.3) . They said that after the starting of the war, the number of East Asians in B.C. had increased to 25% of the total populations. This high percentage of East Asian workers were continuously exploiting the white population, so they protested to the government and took measures to prevent any alteration of the restrictive immigration law.
