- Description
- Jan. 10th, Wednesday P. 3 The C.B.A. helped a %r^ uT >£, c* Chinese who could not get back his head * tax. for two years by sending a request to Ambassador Lim and questioned why was there no answer for the Chinese. It was hoped that the Embassy would appeal for the head tax from the Canadian government immediately. The executives of the C.B.A. also accused Ambassador Lim of being inefficient. They even sent a telegram to Peking on January 9th and asked for Lein (?)'s(Lira's) resignation. Their excuses were that Lim had humiliated China and brought destruction to the Chinese Community. They asserted that their move was supported by letters from various organizations.
