December 7th, Thursday P.3 (1) The Chee Kong Headquarter announced that a meeting was held on November 28th when the executives all decided to cancel the debt owed by a member. They stressed that the member was an old devoted Chinese who was once a secretary of the association. However, he became unemployed and was unable to return the debt. The association would like to raise funds for him, so that he could return to China. (2) The Vancouver Chinese Welfare and Salvation Association announced on December 7th that the association had terminated in April, 1916 and the money left was donated to the C.B.A. hospital. The executives would like to thank the co-operation and devotion of various organizations to make the welfare association a success. (3) The r _ /o*1 Company was opened on November 25th.
