October 4th, Wednesday P. 3 (1) There was a meeting in Chee Kong Tong Vancouver to introduce the new members . Jf I -ftp jr (2) News from Moose Jaw: A white ( J2g )(j <^. V\j )_ was a resident in Shanghai. He was the Chief Supervisor in Physical Education for the International Youth Club.( if?) f^r ^. l|L fl ^ ^ ) He went to Toronto and then arrived at Moose Jaw. He was warmly welcomed by the Chinese and the White community. He introduced and praised the Chinese youth activities in China. He would be returning to the East through Vancouver. (3) An announcement was made by the C/v^t 1>«.<^_ ~fe~" <\ } in Victoria on September 23rd . The association was made up of the Clans Ng, Chan and Choi to promote better relationships. It once had a building for the association. However, due to financial difficulty, it was mortgaged for $9,000 together with other income from exit fees and foundation money, the association was able to carry on its function. Later, due to the European war, the association was put into financial difficulties again. It was deeply in debt. It was thus hoped that those who owed the association money should pay the debt before October 30th. In addition, donation books were distributed to various cities for collection of $3 foundation fees.
