August 19th, Saturday P.3 (1) Chee Kong Tong in Vancouver announced that on the 22nd of August there would be a celebration for the (2) Chee Kong Headquarter in Victoria announced that on August 20th, there would also be a celebration for that occasion. It was hoped that all stores and shops would be closed from 4 p.m-r to 7 p.m. to celebrate the occasion. (3) The C.B.A. in Victoria announced on August 15th that it was the time for election of new executives. A meeting was held whereby the executives decided that the C.B.A. was for the whole Chinese community and thus the staffs should consist of representatives from various district or locality associations. Each locality association should elect 2 representatives for the new executive staff of the C.B.A. A meeting would be held on August 21st where the representatives would be elected for various posts.
