Description
June 26th, Monday P. 3 Ambassador Lin had already sent a letter to protest against the exclusion act on March 14th. Now, he sent another one to warn against the injustice. He claimed that Chinese immigrants should be treated equally with any other Canadian citizens. If the city council insisted on the exclusion act, they would violate the friendly Chinese-Canadian commercial treaty. Finally, he asserted that he would appeal the case to the supreme court and to the British government to fight for the right of the Chinese. (2) The final election of the executive members for Chee Kong Tong.
