April 10th, Monday P. 3 (1) q^ T|_ A^A> made a speech in a theatre on April 19th to promote the sales of Chinese rice. He asserted that it would be a waste to have the rice market fall into the hands of the whites. He had set up a company to have rice ordered directly from China and he hoped that the Chinese community could boycott the white rice merchants. (2) J/Uvv, ^*- /fo*ci**«M (if, fii T) held a meeting on April 9th to discuss and recruit share holders for its commercial company. Over 200 shares were recruited in the meeting. (3) The recruitment of the foundation fund for z 4? ^i vj was to be started on April 15th.
