March 28th, Tuesday P.3 (1) The council meeting had decided to dismiss the East Asian hotel workers. However, due to the fact that the license for this year had already been issued to the hotel owners and it was too late to force them to dismiss the East Asian workers, they were planning on other restrictive laws against the East Asian workers. The most enthusiastic worker in this discriminatory case was the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce (Mr. yp fi$_ Jt(*7j ). (2) The representatives X£L. /$ *^ and eul. i^L. of the Chee Kong Tong Reading Rooms were in New Westminster to recruit shareholders for the -B- 'c r»i jf '/^ BJ They were warmly welcomed. Stocks salesmen were elected too.
