Description
March 22nd, Wednesday P.2-3 (1) Ambassador Lim tried to explain that the Chinese community had already been derogated by the English newspaper which accused the Chinese of stealing, opium smoking and gambling. It would be a shame for the community to give any more bad impressions to the white community, especially as the ambassador was now trying to fight against the discrimination against the Chinese workers. Finally, he criticized a Chinese who robbed a jewellery shop and he hoped that all Chinese would be self-disciplined. (2) A Chinese merchant had donated $100 for the flying academy of B.C.
