March 21st, Tuesday P.3 (1) The discriminatory issue against Chinese hotel and restaurant workers was once again brought up in the city council meeting. The mador > 4/^j « f-f ( /f -fa */"3' ) was also anti-Chinese. (2) A Chinese laundryman was attacked and robbed by a few white boys. However, the police could not catch those runaway criminals. (3) A Chinese was arrested at 515 Gore St. for keeping opium. He was bailed out at $500. (4) The opening ceremony of the reading rooms there was a drama performance, lion dance and Chinese defense to celebrate the occassion.
