- November 12th. Friday P. 3 (1) The Christian Society in Vancouver had already sponsored an English night class for 3 years; however, it had stopped for a few months due to financial difficulties. It wstfe mrt opened again with \^Ji_~f\ -:"£ft as the teacher. Everyone was welcomed, but a little amount of fee would be collected from the students. A few exceptional students would be exempt front payment. (2) 11 White gamblers were arrested in 134 Hastings Street. They were bailed out at $25- each. (3) The Chinese Shipping Company had profited $20,000.
