Description: July 22nd, Thursday P.3 (1) Merchants coming into Canada had to apply for a merchant passport from the %& ^% >T ^\^~J^\ This passport was essential for free entry into Canada,(because *5^0 head tax had to be demanded from any new comers, the holders of the passports however would be exeii.pt. ) (2) The Vancouver C.B.A. made an announcement on 22nd that $2,000. (Chinese currency) were raised in the meeting by various associations on the 20th. Representatives would also go from door to door for donations. However, any funds could be sent directly to ^ :> "7^ of Wing Wo Chong, and ^y- fe_ T^3- of Lee Yuen. t.
