June 24th, Thursday P.3 The Red Cress had tried to raise funds for the wounded soldiers. The C.B.A. had donated $31.10. ^ vj- ^ - *L5.58 ~~~ " - ' $ 1.56 The fund raised was to buy winter clothings. (2) The Chinese National -aivation ^or.ey Bureau ( " /|> ^5\ ) had sent an announcement to Ambassador Yeuiig and asked hin, to encourage donation among the Overseas Chinese. The money raised should be sent indirectly to the ;. Bureau through the Peking hank of Commerce . (3) The ^X/ -%~^r school had changed the time schedules for the Chinese students. The original tii..e schedule were froi.) 4:3^ p.n. to 7 : 36 p.m. Now it had changed to 10: CO a.m. to 12 noon, and 12:30 to 1:30. Thus leaving the afternoon free. An announcement by the Vancouver Chinese Welfare and baxvation CoiiJ-iittee on the credits arid debits of the committee. (^ue to the indifference of the conu'iunity, the welfare service had been terminated on May 2nd, the credits arid debits were posted out on Way 20th in front of the C.B.A. and in the news- paper. The credits ($487.50) would be stored in the bank under the name of ~r - 1 and . / . There were also some (4) sacks of rice not yet claimed by the cor.,i.ittee. The unclaimed rice would be kept by the owners for future use.
