Description: April 15th. Thursday P. 2-3(1) A meeting was held between the License Committee of the City council and the union representatives. The proposal to replace the Asian workers by the white workers in hotel business was nullified by the License Committee. The letter from Ambassador Lim was read out arid the Mayor himself al so thought it was unjust to accept the proposal of the White union. Con- sequently, no legal procedure could oe used to force the Chinese workers out.
