March 8th, Monday P.3 (1) Meetings were held by the Victoria OLc^ kr-vu^ Tt>^ on harch 1st and 3rd to discuss the case concerning the New Republic Newspaper and Kuomintong. With the help of the commercial leaders ) ?\ ^_ ~^^_ , V^L '^j? "J-^V » " ! ^d~1 \^i ; negotiations between the two associations were made. They were to have mutual respect. (2) Chan.her of Commerce in Victoria sent a telegram to President Yuan to support any anti-Japanese action. March 9th, Tuesday P.3 (1) The C.B.A. in Victoria initiated the establishment of a Chinese National Salvation Committee ( $£^_ iSi (jt\ ) as an anti-Japanese action. An announcement was made on the 5th of March for a gathering in a Chinese Theatre on the x4th of March to discuss the case. (2) The executive mer. bers of the Chamber of Commerce in Victoria.
