March 3rd, Wednesday P. 3 (1 ) New Westminster Chinese Community sent a telegram to President Yuan to support ant i- Japanese war. (2) The anti-Japanese Committee in New Westminster had held a speech day in school. (Detail on Notes 12) (3) The C.B.A. in Vancouver had already discussed the ant i- Japanese action. They had decided to establish a fund raising organization to collect money in case of war. (4) Ambassador Yeung rnacfe /an announcement on February llth. He said (V that the White laundrymen in Toronto had asked for a petition in newspaper to support their approval to the Legislature. Their unreasonable appeal was to gain freedom of entry into any Chinese laundromat for inspection. Yeung would like all the Chinese laundromats to clean up their shops and be aware of the unexpected inspection. P.2 (5). The Patriotic Committee in the States sent a letter to the C.B.A. in Vancouver and asked for co-operation in the anti-Japanese action. (The letter was sent on February 1st.
