Description: February 16th, Tuesday P. 3 (1) Ambassador Lira sent an announcement to the Chinese Community on February 15th to criticize the lack of co-operation within the community. Using the 'hawkers case' as example, it had already showed the indifference and inadequacy of the Chinese to help each other. The so-called benevolent association or commercial organization were uninterested in such issue and they took no action to help . Ambassador Lim only hoped that from now on, the Chinese residents would become enthusiastic in improving their community.
