"Sovinnollisuus Yhteisissä, Vapaus Yksityisissä ja Hyvantahtoisuus Kaikissa Asioissa."
"In 1995, Canadan Uutiset was bought by a Florida-based Finnish newspaper owner. The entire "Uutiset Group" of newspapers ran into difficulties though and Canadan Uutiset closed down after the Christmas issue came out in December 2000." Cf. Wikipedia, Canadan Sanomat.
"Along with other ‘enemy-language’ newspapers, it was banned by a government order-in-council from publishing for a period of time during World War I, but was one of a small group allowed to begin publishing as a bilingual newspaper in December 1918 prior to the lift of the general ban in April 1919." Cf. Internet, Simon Fraser University Digitized Newspapers, Canadan Uutiset.
