The "Letters from the Front" were initially published as 11 pamphlets to share amongst the staff at home and to an ever-widening circle of people, from relatives and friends of the officers to correspondents of the Bank. The pamphlets appeared in August and October 1915; January, April, July and October 1916; January and June 1917; January and September, 1918, and; January 1919.
