Title varies slightly.
The Faculty of Medicine was established in 1868 and closed in 1873. Halifax Medical College was established in 1875 to replace it. In 1889 the Faculty of Medicine at Dalhousie University was re-established. The Medical College was the teaching body and the Faculty of Medicine was the examining body.
