A letter on pages104-5 is singed 'H.I.O.', these being the initials of the publishing and apparent compiler of Landmarks.Comprises excerpts of news, mostly from issues of the Brockville Recorder from 4th Jan. 1849 to 8th Jan. 1852, in chronological order, selected by the unidentified compiler who usually paraphrases the original items or prefaces them with his own comments.
Consists of a record of events, mostly in Brockville but also in Gananoque, Prescott and other places in the United Counties, for the period given.
