Notes
Construction of the Memorial Chamber began in 1923. The altar was installed in 1926, followed by the windows a year later. Official dedication was in 1927. It opened to the public on Remembrance Day 1928. The First World War Book of Remembrance was added in November 1942. Cf. http://www.parl.gc.ca/About/House/memorial/main-e.htm. One of the photos is of the casket where the Book of Remembrance will lay once it is finished.
