"From 1856 to 1859 the Debates of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly were published jointly under the title of Parliamentary Reporter. In 1860 the Parliamentary Reporter became the Official Debates of the House of Assembly and the Legislative Council published their debates simply as Debates and Proceedings of the Legislative Council. In 1893 when the Legislative Council and House of Assembly merged into the Legislative Assembly the Debates ceased to be published. Cf. Bishop.
