The Héritage project is a 10-year initiative to digitize, preserve, and make accessible online roughly 40 million pages of Canadian archival microfilm. To maintain a high standards of integrity and usability, each stage of the project will be guided and reviewed by special committees formed of librarians, archivists, and distinguished scholars in the field.

To direct and prioritize these efforts, Priority Advisory Groups will gather input from a broad a base of stakeholders, including librarians, academics, genealogists and the public.
