Leslie Weir elected to Canadiana.org Executive Committee

The Canadiana.org Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Leslie Weir, University Librarian at the University of Ottawa, has been elected to the Executive Committee in her role as Past President of Canadiana. In addition to providing expertise and guidance toward the achievement of Canadiana's mission, Leslie has generously agreed to chair the Nominating Committee. This body is tasked with identifying and recommending candidates for board renewals in a manner reflecting Canadiana’s membership base.
The volunteer Board of Directors is composed of distinguished scholars, librarians and archivists from across Canada who are entrusted with responsibility for Canadiana's activities and operations.

Canadiana.org is a non-profit, member-based organization created in 2008 as the merger of the Canadian Institute for Historical Microreproductions and Alouette Canada. Canadiana.org's mandate is to digitize, preserve and improve access to Canada's documentary heritage. It has amassed a collection of 40 million pages of digitized content, available through online application platforms, and is one of six certified Trustworthy Digital Repositories worldwide.
