The history of St. Patrick's Day as seen through Canadiana.org

Canadiana.org has begun a new feature that aims to highlight the types of content available through our two major information services: the Canadiana Discovery Portal and Early Canadiana Online. The feature provides users with access to a sample of content related to a current event of issue in the news, and demonstrates the range of material available through Canadiana.org.

Today we have published a page on St. Patrick's Day in French and English which includes some of the books, newspaper articles and photos of St. Patrick's day events from Canada's history. It seems as if nothings changed in terms of weather- even in 1924 there were tons of snow for the parade in Montreal!

Past features, which have included Black History Month, Nutrition Month, and Valentines Day, are archived on our website.
