Vickery Bowles selected to be Vice President of

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Vickery Bowles, City Librarian, Toronto Public Library, as Vice President of Canadiana.

Mrs. Bowles was first elected to the board on June 19, 2015 as a candidate nominated by Foundation- and Governing-level members. Prior to joining the board, she was appointed Toronto's City Librarian and has been lauded for "leading [the library's] shift toward digital technology and pioneering new approaches to library services."

The volunteer Board of Directors is composed of distinguished scholars, librarians and archivists from across Canada who are entrusted with responsibility for Canadiana's activities and operations. As Vice President and member of the Executive Committee, Mrs. Bowles will provide expertise and guidance toward the long-term achievement of Canadiana’s mission.
